Strong coaching systems don’t happen by accident.
In most sports, the majority of coaching is done by volunteers. These coaches care deeply about their students, but they are often asked to do complex work with limited time, guidance, or support.
I work with clubs, federations, and sport organisations to design practical ways to support coaches and improve training environments.
My approach combines nearly three decades of coaching experience, international competition exposure, and academic research in sport coaching and volunteer systems.
The goal is simple: help coaches do their job better, and help organisations build systems that actually support them.

Blake's approach is thoughtful, practical, and always centred on what actually helps his students improve. I’ve seen how much confidence and clarity he brings to those he works with—especially volunteer instructors like myself who often feel stuck.

I'm truly grateful for the positive influence you've had on my coaching skills. Your knowledge of kendo and how how people learn best is truly impressive, and thanks to your guidance, I've grown into a more effective and inspiring coach for my students. Thank you so much, coach!
